1. When does the refund arrive?
The refund is disbursed directly by the Department of Treasury. Therefore, if you want more details, you must verify your SURI account and/or contact the Treasury directly at the following number: 787.721.2020.
2. Can I cancel my tax return after it is filed?
You cannot cancel the filing of a tax return once it has been sent. If you understand that you sent any incorrect and/or incomplete information, you will have to wait for the return to be processed and then make an amendment. We recommend that you wait at least a day after filing it.
3. Why can't I amend my tax return?
It is possible that you still cannot amend the return since you must wait for SURI to process it and then you can file an amendment to that original return.
4. How does it decide that there's a debt to be paid?
The tax payable at the Treasury is based on different computations that result in line 28 of the return. If you want to verify and analyze your tax return, we recommend that you contact a tax advisor so that they can guide you in this regard.
5. I just paid my tax return, why was it not filed?
The payment of your tax return does not mean that it is processed. It is required that, after making the payment, you continue with the filing steps until you finish and receive the confirmation number.
