For the last 16 years, Taxmania has been providing an easy, fast, and secure platform for taxpayers to prepare and file their tax returns online. Every year, we collect and compile a list of the most frequently asked questions by our customers.
See if your question is among this year's top questions.
The Most Common Doubts
In general, each tax season is accompanied by changes in tax forms, processes, credits, and laws. This can create confusion when filling out tax forms.
The deadline for filing individual tax forms in 2022 has passed and we took the opportunity to collect all the questions and confusions from our clients to prepare for the next tax season.
Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:
What should I do if my information does not match SURI? What should I do if my information does not match the Tax Return or the Determined Contribution?
If your information does not match with SURI, the Tax Return, or the Determined Contribution, you must verify that the tax return has not had any change or adjustment in SURI. If it has been modified or updated, you must fix the error by going through the filing process again. You must input and upload the correct information.

How long does it take for the tax form to be reflected in SURI?
The duration in which the tax forms are processed depends entirely on SURI. Taxmania does not have an estimate of the time in which the tax return is accepted and reflected in SURI.
It is extremely important that, once the tax return is filed, you keep the copy as evidence.
How long does it take to get the Tax Return?
The Tax Return is disbursed directly by the agency responsible for the type of tax return you are filing. It can be either: the Department of Treasury (482) or the IRS (1040PR/1040US). If you're interested in more details, you should verify your SURI/IRS account and/or contact the appropriate agency directly.
If I select to file a (federal) tax form on paper, does Taxmania take care of sending it by mail or is it up to the user?
If you chose to file the tax forms on paper, you are responsible for sending them. Taxmania does not send tax returns by mail.
What should I do if the taxpayer's personal information does not match SURI?
In order to fix or update your information in SURI, you must send a message through said platform.

Reminder: Don't forget that you still have the opportunity to file your 2022 tax form electronically with Taxmania. You can also file tax returns from previous years, up until 2015. These forms must be filed on paper since the system for the Department of Treasury does not accept them electronically.
